Electronic Poker is a popular game that can be gambled on in casinos all over the globe, or alternatively at your house on your personal computer, using a net account. The rules are very simple and involve the player trying to get the highest mixture of cards achievable in order to come away with cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, minus the line of contact with other players. Of course, methods used in a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Electronic Poker starts when the enthusiast puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the video poker machine and pushes the deal button. A hand of 5 cards will then be "given out" on the screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and bettors should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the player would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, whether it is all or none.
After the enthusiast has decided on which cards she wishes to keep, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards are dealt if desired. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.
Normally, the minimum winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money getting larger for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can range from game to game, so that experienced players are agile enough to select the most money-making game each and every instance.
Once the initial round has completed, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, several styles of the game allow the gambler a chance to increase their profits, in which case another round is played. There are also variations among individual machines, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other differing elements to enhance playability.
